Monkey Temple Band

Monkey Temple is the first alternative Nepali rock music band, formed in 1998, and getting featured on MTV South Asia. The band recently launched an album “Ajabmari” in a very different way, meaning cutting off the technology of launching albums through CD’s. The new way of launching an album through an official website made fans much easier to follow up with the band.

Launch Site

Story

The Story

Monkey Temple planned to launch an album “Ajambari” in a very different and unique way. CD’s are obviously a great way to launch an event, while these days, there is rarely a CD drive attached to a computer. Thus, a need of unique to launch an album.

Alpas Technology Pvt. Ltd. is known for the best website development and design company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. With a strategy to uniquely launch an album, the company along with the band decided to release through online platform. Fans do not have to purchase a CD, but just a code. The unique code once purchased, the fan will be then able to download a whole new album through the website and enjoy the music.

The Core

The Monkey Temple website is built by Alpas Technology Pvt. Ltd. includes an UI/UX designs, Website, Responsive Site, and Web Application.

The backend of this site is built in PHP Laravel Framework. The backend side (admin portal) helps admin to push the contents for front end side, including viewing the list of registered users, upload songs, upload albums, upload events & tours with details,update gallery images, and many more.

The mind-mapping (rough project flow) was done at first. After mind-mapping for Monkey Temple Band, the project scoping was confirmed, the wireframes were done on pappers. The designs then were reflected with the help of sketchup tool.

The designs after getting locked down, the user stories were written for the overall project. The project backlogs were created on a JIRA board separated with Epics, User Stories, & Acceptance criteria. The user story points were noted, sprints were planned, and perfectly shippable product was delivered in each sprint.

The final product was released after all the user stories were completed on project backlog.
